Fiction
Novels and stories that invite readers into other lives and other places. We publish fiction because a good story can change how someone sees the world – and because readers deserve books that are carefully made.

Stories worth holding in your hands.
Lizard Books publishes fiction and literature on biblical and Christian themes, sells printed books, and brings them to readers at literary events.
What we publish
Two shelves, one standard of care.
Our list grows along two lines. Each book gets the same attention – from the first read of the manuscript to the finished printed copy.
Biblical & Christian literature
Books on biblical and Christian themes for personal reading, study and reflection – for individual readers, families, small groups and church communities.
How we work
From manuscript to reader
Publishing is a chain of careful steps. Here is how a book travels through our house.
Reading
We read the manuscript closely and decide whether it belongs on our list.
Shaping
The text is prepared for publication, and the book receives its cover and interior design.
Printing
The finished book goes to print as a physical edition, ready for shelves and gift bags.
Meeting readers
We sell printed copies and introduce our books in person at literary events.
Printed publications
Real books, on real paper.
We sell printed editions of the books we publish. Whether you are a single reader, a bookstore or a group looking for several copies, write to us and we will help you find the right titles.

Literary events
Where books meet their readers
We promote our books at literary events – book fairs, readings and community gatherings – so readers can open a book, meet the people behind it and talk about what they read.
If you organize a literary event, book fair or reading and would like Lizard Books to take part, we would be glad to hear from you.
